I worked on Dartmoor, and still live here, it is my passion, but I have a very soft spot for Exmoor also.

When I was teaching g “Outdoor First Aid” we taught a ratio, 3:1, whatever you put on a casualty to keep them warm, you need three under to maintain body heat and prevent hypothermia. Same applies.

An ideal starter location is Great Mis Tor, easy parking, simple hike and not far if you do need to bug out……..But great views! I live in the Dartmoor National Park, worked on the Moor for 30 years and hike it every week at least twice.

Please check out the DNPA camping map, and only camp in the permitted areas.

A Field Marshal if I am not mistaken, be great if a real tractor enthusiasts could confirm or otherwise.

I was enjoying the bacon discussion as someone who has reared pigs and produced their own bacon, Tamworth/Welsh cross. I also found the comment regarding bacon being illegal in Britain unnecessary, and not needed……..But I am a Patriot, so what is your issue?
