Along a similar vein, I had a spare rod that just sat in a drawer where it developed large divots corroded into the surface. Packable daypack in Cordura or similar?
I have one from Fjallraven called the High Coast Foldpack 24 which might fit the bill. Its not heavy duty but it has put up with me dragging it around the countryside.
