out of interest,I THINK...ferrets and terriers are legal but I would have to brush up on the various bits of legislation. It;s stuff like drowning, burning etc that are illegal...anything that prolongs the suffering. A dog or ferret would be a quick kill wouldnt it?
sounds like you have a BIG problem. Was it not sorted by the rat man/Housing Association as per your posts a few months ago? Also Where are they coming from-a burrow/multiple burrows or a broken drain . and are they just attacking your property or other properties also?
The support for unpaid carers is abysmal-there is some but it doesn't suit everyone. At the end of the day you are largely on your own.PS by law you would be eligible for a stautory carers assessment. Don't know if that helps...
Whilst on the subject of men asking for help,( a slight deviation maybe from the OP) an interesting theme popped up when I worked in suporting/engaging unpaid male carers ie those caring for family members or friends. I heard stories of men being refused time off work for caring duties eg if a...
i was a heavy smoker. stopped 2002. my GP surgery had a 'stop smoking' nurse who helped. it also coincided with smoking being banned in pubs i vaguelly remember. The main thing that swung it was living in a non smoking house and not associating with smokers (on previous attempts to stop i had...

Can't go wrong with the good old fashioned wooden Victor Rat trap. I got some from B and Q some years ago.Not sure if the size will allow them to fit in a rat box. They used to be cheap. They have a strong spring. Some of the plastic ones from the usual DIY stores don't have a very strong spring...
I don't know what your immediate envioronment and surrounding properties and gardens are like but I once saw a posh and clean looking small back garden with a rat problem. It's difficult to say without actually seeing the area in person.
Things that could be contributing to your problem...
It's good that you will be able to explain things in person to the rat man rather than him being shown round by a housing association employee that probably doesn't know the site as well as you. He will probably do an initial written assessment of the problem on his visit so make sure you get a...
Probably one of the greatest films ever made IMHO and still stands the test of time. I love the end shot where she walks out of the cemetry walks past Joseph Cotten and Trevor Howard without even looking at them.
They can sometimes just lick the peanut butter off without setting the trap off. I put broken pieces of nut with nutella-a splodge of nutella then push the whole or broken nuts into the nutella-that way there is more chance of activating the trap as they try to pull the pieces of nut from the...
