    Well done,that has got me wanting to picking up my hand drill again.I also use a clematis hearth board but use mullein for the drill,I have had smoke but as of yet no ember.Maybe I should try elder ;)

    Most people set up the dd camping hammock tight,you won't have any sag in the hammock.But whatever works for you ;)

    Bow drill tips and tricks

    If you find the cordage keeps snapping,as it did with me when I first started,I doubled the cordage around the drill and it didn't snap as easy.As you get better strokes going you will be able to go down to a single cordage. Hope that is of some help,good luck and don't give up 😜

    Firesteel loop on your knife sheath?

    A fire steel loop is always good on a sheath,the chances of be court out anywhere in this country and needing a fire is very rare.But having it there means you can use it,practice with it coz at the end of the day that's what you want to do as a (bushcrafter) ;)

    First Solo overnighter coming up

    The first time I did a solo overnighter,It was great and slept well after a small bottle of brandy ;) But it didn't stop me from dreaming of clowns attacking me in my hammock lol.But then that could of been the cheap brandy,have fun your love it :)
