Welcome to BCUK! :campfire:
For tips on "a bag for the UK countryside" you should probably start a thread in "Kit Chatter" or possibly "Camp and Carry" and it would be helpful to know who's going, experience, fitness, how long you're expecting to be there, how you plan to get there etc...
Make sure there's plenty of ventilation in the shed when you eventually use it in there. We don't want you to be another CO statistic.
The flue needs to be bigger in diameter, clear of all obstructions and a lot taller. The way you have it now, it will tend to burn up too quickly if the flue...
Well you have my commiserations, FWIW.
My other half was hit by a car while out cycling and she didn't get damaged nearly as badly as you seem to have been, but it still took a good year for her to get more or less back in shape.
I'd say you're going to have to be a patient patient, and by the...
Safe places:
Look around you! You'd probably spot if your tent was on a railway line. But it might be in a dry river bed, and rain might be forecast. The trees around you have probably been there longer than you've lived, so most of the time they'll be safe, but as mick91 mentioned strong winds...
Bear in mind that their service is based on magnetic field readings, so it won't give you much, if any, advance warning.
In nearly ten years of being subscribed to their list I've never seen anything based on its warnings.
Still hoping for clear skies tonight. :)
My FAKs for hiking and such are usually from Boots or wherever.
They're generally about a quarter of the size of a box of breakfast cereal, but the ones in the Jeep and the truck are approaching the size of a shoe box. In my case that's quite a big box. :)
I've got a really tiny FAK...
Suggestion:
Find a short brass bolt (or some sort of plumbing fitting with hopefully but not necessarily a hexagonal outer) which fits the thread in your stove. If it's a bolt, drill through it.
Get an Optimus 96 vaporizer and cut off the threaded bit to leave a threadless vaporiser of the...
Watch out for the smoke when you use stuff like that, some of the preservatives can give off pretty toxic fumes. You're not really supposed to burn it.
I like it.
I did something similar with a stainless steel wastebasket that I picked up in a charity shop for a couple of quid. The steel is perforated, lots of lovely air flow.

That's a very kind offer, and I thank you for it.
In fact I'd rather not do business with a firm which - even indirectly - relies on a deception to get customers to waive their legal rights under the Consumer Credit Regulations.
What a pity.
I tried to buy something from Planetx but the credit card payment system wanted me to agree to the sneaky 'secure ID confirmation', which changes the credit terms in the banks' favour, so I declined and cancelled the order.
The most important thing to do with damp air is to get rid of it!
You need good ventilation.
There are more or less two kinds of dehumidifier.
For the same drying capacity the one Mary has (hot rocks type) is a bit more expensive than the one that works like a refrigerator (heat pump type) but...
I'm a fan of the Tramontina machetes, there are three or four chez nous, and since you're interested in having fun and don't mind buying a tool just because you want one, I'd recommend trying one.
The description you give of the clearance you have to do suggests to me that using more than one...
