They were giving me some problems as one was growing down in to my lower jaw, unfortunately it was a difficult removal but out now so on the mend :)
Most of the info I found is salt water is the way to go, my dentist also said not to over do it with too much salt or too frequently, only...
I guess I'm a bit lazy but I don't really do that much, I keep it clean and polish off any rust spots when I'm sharpening it that's about it.
I've never had a scenario where my knife/sheath has been wet and stored for long enough to start to corrode badly.
I have a fair bit of dull grey blade...
Just had 2 wisdom teeth out, and my dentist suggested the following.
Saltwater 3 times a day, after meals to dislodge any food particles and to promote healing.
Common agrimony, twice a day in-between meals to promote healing.
To get the best out of it its worth having a couple of layers of their kit.
This is the list of kit I have collected over the years, some is well over 15 years old and still works.
Activelite shirt+hood, great for when I'm working hard or its not too cold, really good in cool rainy conditions...

What Chris said, I would try paid sites and car camping first so you get your kit and admin sorted, and I would start with warmer weather first too.

If the coating is even slightly too thick it will turn in to a sticky...
Petromax ovens are quite nice and they do lots of sizes and styles too.
They are very weighty and bulky though so we only use ours if we are car camping or in the garden.
I have seen cast aluminium Dutch ovens but never got hands on or used one but they must be much lighter than cast iron.

Another vote for the buffalo, a while back I was out in in the cold (-12) and wind on a frozen lake.
I was wearing a pair of buffalo special 6 trousers over my normal trousers, on top I wore a thick wool thermal, a tshirt, a buffalo mtn shirt and a pile lined jacket similar to a buffalo over all...
It depends on what I'm doing but my Trangia frying pan and Crusader cup are the usual suspects.
I also have a few other items I use like wildo folding cups and bowls, a snow peak titanium cup and some melamine plates and bowls but it depends on what I'm up to.
Im looking forward to seeing what its like and if it will fill the role im hoping it will. I have a light synthetic quilt that I use as extra insulation and as a condensation barrier over my down quilt so im hoping to ditch that quilt and use the swagman and of course it can also be a warm...
Well, it's in the post on its way but I bought a Helikon-Tex swagman roll to use it as a Light blanket and as some extra insulation over/inside my sleeping bag depending on weather.
