I have not had my hands on the Pathfinder. My understanding is that it’s a little smaller than the Saracen by 10-15L but is otherwise very similar in layout.
It might have been issued to Irish Defence Forces, I think I’ve seen it in DPM/paddyflage as well as olive.
The Reptila nylon stuff comes up on eBay for about £30 for trousers. If you don’t mind MTP camo.
There are issue US Pertex zoot suits around too,a bit nicer than the Arktis one. Hit and miss when they show up but various non camo colours, may have been made with opfor chaps in mind. I think...
I have seen a video of a lad using a pool noodle to make an arch for his bivi.

For hiking I find having anything on my chest interferes with vent/cooling. It’s nice to have accessible storage off your waist line when carry a big pack though.
The HPG bags are about as big as I’d want to use. I am more inclined to use a waist pack that I can move to the front, add to the...
I used to like a small chest rig that had a fold out map table and small pockets for compass, walkie talkie and Kit Kats. Useful when I was working in the hills and micro having and locating stuff.
I just have a bino harness now, the local gamekeeper has one for his thermal optic.
I...

Just listened to “Breathing Elon’s Musk” I kid you not. A bit political but also unashamed 80’s anime inspired pop.
There are some genuinely skilled people who know how to get good results from AI.
Usually they have a creative...
My understanding of utility knives found as graves goods is that they seem to have been placed inside the persons clothing.
If we take the placement as indicative of life, and other items such as jewellery seem bear this out, a pocket folder makes a lot of sense.
