I've seen some mention about using microcrystalline wax as part of a waterproofing wax mixture as it's more flexible and doesn't shed as much wax. Not tried it yet though.

I have a very old Ajungilak Tyin 5 season bag bought from Survival Aids about 30 something years ago, it doesn't get frequent use so its still in good nick. Not the lightest bag by a long shot but I've camped on the fells in subzero temperatures and its been fine.

I have two of Axminsters all steel chisels that I've had for yonks now. Proper solid things and its worth noting just how big they are before buying as they're getting on for timber framers slick size. Big chisel.
