    Why a folding knife

I don´t care much about social norms but if it was allowed by the law I would definatly be carrying a sheath knife on my belt daily. Not for self defence or any particular reason; it´s just a tool - who knows when it might be usefull. And in my country men have had a knife on their belt for...

    Why a folding knife

Clearly you do not understand me. I am saying that knives have not been demonized and deemed forbidden to carry everywhere and everytime until a few decades back. In yesteryears knives and daggers were commonly carried by everybody so no need for a folding knife in the sence of having a knife...

    Why a folding knife

No it was not. Knives have been seen as normal everyday wear as your clothes until the last few decades.

Insulated mid-layer for extreme wind and cold weather

Can not be enough emphasised what TLM allready pointed out. First thing to understand about insulation is that it is not the fabric that insulate but the air that the garment binds. 1 inch of down insulates better than 1 yard of concrete. Inside concrete walls in our apartment are cold to the...

    Why a folding knife

What carry restrictions do you refer to, what century? I know of some restrictions of citizens to carry swords in cities in medieval times. That´s why so many carried daggers or alehouse daggers (in britain) for self defence.

The Leuku knife... proper tool or just for boreal adventures?

    Branston pickle (sort of).

Since brexit I no longer buy anything from UK (I very much would like to) because now I would have to pay customs fee and VAT, something I do not have to pay when buying inside EU.

    Branston pickle (sort of).

Traditionally eaten with lingonberry jam which is mainly tart with some sweatness. So I suppose you are right.

    What did you buy today?

I use knots so seldom that I never remember how to tie them when needed. These make things easier.

    Tea

I wrote somewhere here that I don´t fancy tea and prefer coffee. But now I have found a tea that is to my liking; lapsang souchong. First heard about it in the movie Phantom Thread but paid no more attention to it. Then some time ago I read about it and the description of it sounded like it...
