    What did you buy today?

Yep, same for me, but simpler non-CANBUS lamps for my reversing lamps. I think it’s a necessity here in the great unlit.

Help me find some new music

This. Shocking at first but their virtuosity shines out. The more you listen, the more it sucks you in.

What are your favourite pocket knives?

When I’m out in the field - beating, angling, archery shoots, rabbiting, I use my Fällkniven TK4 (3G). All other times I carry a small SAK Classic SD.

A great loss to the british countryside

I heard one on Dartmoor in May. I was out on a photo day, but couldn’t catch it on camera.

    DMT or equivalent sharpeners

Ask for thick off cuts of float glass at your local glass supplier/cutter? Heavy, very flat and stable as a platform.

    Instinctive Archery. Your experience please.

1: Join a club and get some coaching. It’s not easy to spot errors in your own form, particularly those errors that creep in with fatigue. 2: Double check your equipment. Depending upon the type and class of archery you’re shooting, you should measure some data points when your setup is...

101 uses for a set of drain rods...

I made an early bow from a bamboo drain rod. Super flexible and tough, but not the best even with the brass fittings removed…. :)

    What did you buy today?

Here in Somerset I can buy it all year round, but that doesn’t help you in Finland. You could try to make your own: Make clotted cream …but note that you will need to find the best cream available in your area that hasn’t been ‘ultra pasteurised’ - see the note in the recipe. Also, as a...

    Orange is the New Black

I use a bright orange paracord blaze on all of my easily lost/dropped articles, and dayglo orange or yellow fletchings on my field arrows. Seems to work for me.

Apparently Tapatalk has been bought out by a new owner and they are changing things up. Terms & conditions etc that are less attractive to forum owners. I see this reported on other forums in which I participate, and forum owners are moving away from giving access to Tapatalk.

Yeah, love the trip to Åland and back! Our friends have a place overlooking the archipelago near the ferry stop at Koviksudde.

    Leather Quiver

Very nice indeed. Field or target? I only ask because for field I like to have a side pocket for tabs/strings/string wax etc. Oh, and a built-in sheath for a knife for those awkward tree/target frame/arrow interface moments :)

    And sometimes ……..

Ever since I saw a grey with a fledgling songbird in its mouth I have no compunction at all in despatching them - efficiently and cleanly of course. OTOH, the reds are to be revered and enjoyed, but Ive never seen them away from a reserve.

    Cheese With Hot Dog?

On a Cumberland or good ole pork sossidge, then yes a slice of cheddar melted over it would be most acceptable. I would not consider anything else of a similar form offered even as a comestible.
