Why is Royal Mail so rubbish

I've had deliveries from Evri and InPost this week which were completely fine. But I don't even have an tracking update from RM yet on my parcel from Poland. I've never used lockers so have no experience with them, I have a small shop close to my house which takes InPost, no lockers.

    karrimor marathon 2 tent

So cool. I have a rather large collection of Karrimor backpacks from the 70's, 80's and 90's and I have an original Karrimor Karrimat. Would love an old Karrimor tent to add to the collection.

Why is Royal Mail so rubbish

I buy and sell a fair bit on second hand sites like Vinted, Depop, eBay etc. and typically send or receive through either Royal Mail, Evri or InPost. I have to say that Evri and InPost are absolutely brilliant, they almost always hit their target delivery times, in fact I cannot remember the...

Post pics of your old Karrimor back packs!

I recently picked up this Karrimor Hot Earth. It's the same colour as my much bigger Aiguille Alpine Equipment backpack. I used this Hot Earth recently on a training day with mountain rescue and found it very comfortable. As I was concentrating on the activities at hand I forgot it was even on...

The 'I've found a bargain' thread

I've never owned anything from Helikon before but from all the reviews I have read or watched on YouTub it seems to be of good quality. The synthetic insulation used is a very good and durable insulation. I had set myself a budget of £200 for a new insulated jacket using this insulation or...

The 'I've found a bargain' thread

I agree it's the polar opposite of my usual style, but I don't think many outdoor brands make garments in bright colours anymore, plus the camo is at least £30 cheaper than any other colour. At least it might make it a little bit harder for the dog handlers to spot me :lmao:

The 'I've found a bargain' thread

It's interesting that they have some Hilleberg tents in the sale. Alpinetrek also have the Hilleberg Akto in a sale. When I bought a Hilleberg a year ago, I was phoning around various shops trying to get military discount on Hilleberg tents (shops that offered military discount on other items)...

The 'I've found a bargain' thread

The 'US Woodland' version of the Helikon-Tex Wolfhound insulated (Climashield Apex) jacket is down to £70 free postage https://military.eu/en/p/helikon/helikon-wolfhound-hoodie-jacket-us-woodland-302612

    Helikon-Tex Insulated jacket.

Also, I found the Wolfhound in a camo colour. I don't usually go for camo but the camo is down to £70! What does everyone think of the camo colour? It's not usually my style but it's only to wear when I stop or when dogsbodying!

    I gave up alcohol..

Well done. I think will power is just like anything else in that you get better at it the more you use it.

    Helikon-Tex Insulated jacket.

Hi all, I'm looking to purchase a belay jacket (insulated jacket to go over all other layers). After much looking I think I'm almost set on something from Helikon-Tex. They use more durable Climashield insulation and are priced very reasonably. I'm looking at both the Wolfhound and the Level 7...

    I gave up alcohol..

I love coffee, I have an espresso machine and I enjoy not only drinking it but the whole process of grinding the beans, the smell, making the coffee, steaming the milk. I have a coffee every morning with my breakfast and rarely do I ever have more than one coffee a day. If I do, it usually gives...

    I gave up alcohol..

I did at one point get into the habit of drinking almost every night just 2 or 3 beers or glasses of wine. I also used to really enjoy drinking if we were having a takeaway. When I realised that I really wanted to stop drinking was when something like having a takeaway didn't appeal to me if I...

    I gave up alcohol..

I really don't miss alcohol. It's funny though, I have forgotten myself once or twice and gone to grab a glass out of habit and then remembered. But, not that I was a heavy drinker, just a regular drinker in small amounts, my mental health has improved since stopping drinking alcohol, I have...

    I gave up alcohol..

Thank you, It's not so much t-total with sugar, I like the occasional cup of tea with half a sugar, for example, which doesn't bother me, and I don't want to stop the occasional ice cream or bit of cake etc. It's more the random cravings I get in which I go and eat 5 or 10 custard creams or a...

    I gave up alcohol..

The rest of my diet is pretty good, I almost always have at least one home cooked meal a day, and it's almost always a chicken dish, I've got chicken/tomato soup made with bone broth for dinner tonight. I had oats, yoghurt and fruit with chia, pumpkin and sunflower seeds for breakfast, but I do...

    I gave up alcohol..

.. four months ago, and I found it surprisingly easy. Now I'm giving up sugary snacks like sweets and chocolate and finding it difficult. I get almost unbearable urges for sugar, especially after meals. I find Greek yoghurt helps to curb the 'withdrawal' but it's taking a lot of will power...
