Here's a Mk1 that I bought cheaply (poor thing had been abused badly!, The last owner had split the stock in two and tried gluing it with...... Polyfiller :eek:
This made repairing the stock more difficult...

Yes, you're quite right!!
I haven't a clue where the screw went but since the stopwatch stopped working, I looked in and noticed that it wasn't there!!, it may have been missing all the time i've had the watch and popped off the small boss when i've knocked it!

I mounted mine the same way as Ged suggested, I stood the anvil on the stump, drew around the foot then removed it and routed the footprint out..
EDIT- Forgot to say, I have used it since I took the pic but not very much as I can't get in to it since my shed collapsed and it's contents...

I have a Record 24DML, I also have a set of wood chucks and a set of chisels if they're of interest at all..
From memory the lathe is a five speed and will take a 24" workpiece..
Don't have photos of the lathe but here's a pic of one that I borrowed from the net!!
