    New Member From Malaysia

Hello and welcome to the forum. Malaysia reminded me of a youtube channel ran by a British bushcrafter in the place long time ago. I used to enjoy watching his channel which was interesting with lots of practical advice and knowledge in bushcraft. However, his channel stopped adding new videos...

    Vacuum cleaner recommendation?

Thank you for all your replies. We didn't know some vacuum cleaner makers such as Kirby, Miele and Sebo before, but thanks to the replies now we are aware of them. Well, the Dyson DC40 is still going strong sucking up all the spiders and bugs around the house, and cleaning up the floors as it...

    Vacuum cleaner recommendation?

For cement, concrete or plaster, you need a shopvac like this. Never use indoor / carpet cleaning vacs for outdoors or construction cleaning, or it will break or block the vac like Dysons.

    Vacuum cleaner recommendation?

From the price of tools for sale in Aldi and Lidle, I would have thought German made tools must be cheaper. How come Sebo vacuums are more expensive than most other vacuums?

    Vacuum cleaner recommendation?

The forum reviews and recommendations on any gadgets, gears and tools seem to be far more accurate and reliable to trust than the ones on the online shopping sites. :D

    Vacuum cleaner recommendation?

Was looking at another Dysons, but many new models came out. Couldn't tell which one would be the best. And there are many other new makes seem to be available too.

    Vacuum cleaner recommendation?

We have had this old Dyson DC40 for 15 years. Have replaced some parts and filters, and it kept on running. It seems now is the time for a new vacuum cleaner for the house. Which ones are the best? Which one have you had, and was it good? What are the good and weak points for the model you...

Anyone still owns / drives LADA?

I reckon any LADA owners might find difficult to find parts to keep maintaining these days. Having said that never seen even one LADA on the road for years. Can only see them on youtube.

Sure, maybe now it is a different world, and maybe the age verification system is needed for the changed world. The last bladed item I bought was last summer. I was working on the garden clearing tons of outgrown bushes and brambles. I couldn't even step into the space where the bramble...

I have no problem sending the tools via Age Verification delivery, because it is now a regulation anyway. But just was wondering if the age verification system actually helps in making society safer in reality, because you keep hearing and feeling it may not be so in reality. If it makes such...

It was just a comment reminiscing the good old days when we didn't have these things to be bothered about. Oh well, just pass on the tools to the relatives rather than sell them. There is a simple answer. :)

Not sure if there is direct evidence it does though. We still hear about bad things happening daily even with all these doubtful systems.

For me it is difficult to imagine for the under 18 year olds have time and money to buy and play with these things. They should be studying for uni. exams, or learn the skills for their future life.

We really and honestly don't believe Age Verification delivery or eBay banning bladed items are helping or making any difference at all for making the society safer. It is just a system for them making more money by penalizing the genuine and innocent tool users and traders. Putting more law...

If they are low priced items, that would be best way to let them go. Ganzos and Sanrenmus were good quality tools I recall from 10-15 year ago when I had them. I still have some Ganzo multi tools, which I use daily in the garden.

Suppose it is a bargain, if we think that way. But if you posted 10 pieces, then you would have paid around £30 more than you would have without it. :)

Just checked Royal Mail site for their Age Verification service for Tracked 48 small parcel delivery. It is £3.39. But with Age Verification service for the same delivery, the price goes up by almost £3 making it £6.27. So it is almost 97% more expensive than the normal Tracked 48 small parcel...
