It’s cold blued after being acid etched in a ferric chloride bath I find it makes the coldnblue more consistent and with this being 80crv2 it reacts like 01 tool steel if not looked after so makes it easier to care for in the long run. Thanks for the comments :)

Yeah it’s essentially an integral finger choil I think you would call it, to lock your hand in when gripped. It’s actually a bit of one of my inner nightmares my hand sliding down on to the blade lol
