I'm following this thread with interest. I wondered if there are good area's within an hour/ half hour train/bus ride from Glasgow? I don't mind a days hike into said area's.

I did. The strange, candy floss look is caused by a fungus called exidiopsis effusa. If it wasn't for the fungi and its structure, the ice wouldn't form. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

Thanks for that. I have hardly taken mine off since getting it. The size I have, is a large. Just snug enough for a layer underneath, but not quite long enough to tuck in as a shirt. I may look into sewing a piece of wool around the bottom for this. Also, I'm on the look out for more of them. :)...
