I have the same tent, and the same problem. I don’t suppose you have a link for where you got the replacement pole?

We have done survival camps with the scouts over the last two November’s, they just bring their own, usually the bright orange ones. Saves money for the scout group.

I’d just use a cheap tarp and cut it down to the right shape. You could sew on an edging strip on or just gaffa tape it.

I just got a machine and made a few things, made some mistakes to lean and took my time with the jacket, the hardest bit was to ensure it was sewn in the right order, not wanting to have to many seems. You’ll be surprised with what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.
