Yep I went on one nearly 4 years ago (May 2003). Main teachers Ray and Juha Rankonnen (boy, did Juha konw his stuff!). Woody (see other tracking thread forwho he is) also dropped in on the Thursday. Lots on the course,we were kept busy almost continuously. Pace tracking is an exausting, but...

Here's some stuff that I've used over the last couple of years. When the evenings are lighter you could run some sessions outside (if you've got some scrubland close by) on tracking. They might find this a bit dry at first; but run a game of manhunt (scouty hide & seek) and show how tracking...

I'm looking on going on the Friday - the Explorer scout thing I was trying to arrange for the Saturday fell though.

I'm another who had QC (and design) issues with my DD hammock. The very first time I put it up and got into it the actual netting material around the cord tab at one end ripped. Within a month the hanging cord for the hammock itself had started to shred and had to be replaced. Now the thing...

and several others not a stones throw away...

I was out on Staurday night using a combi of a Magikelly special hammock and a Hennessey Hex-fly. No problem with leaks and a toastywarm sleep into the bargain!
