    corona virus projects any one?

I am inventing things for my Scout troop to do as individuals. We're looking at badges that can be completed at home and we're going to have a camp by each Scout spending the night in the garden in a tent or bivouac then posting to our Facebook page. I'm posting links to YouTube videos which...

For Sale LT Wright GNS sabre

I don't know about the steel - it's the standard model - maybe it states more information on the website. I will ask about shipping to Germany, but post office is shut today so it'll take a day or so as Monday will be a long day - Covid 19 planning meeting in pm. Thanks for your interest.

For Sale LT Wright GNS sabre

Lightly used knife, I think originally bought from this forum. For sale on behalf of son who's starting to make his own stuff and so needs to raise funds for materials. Sheath has been wet formed and waxed so holds the knife well IMHO. Knife was used for a year in Explorers but was not abused...

    Winter Moot 2020 Videos - Part 2

Well, I'm beginning to think that work can be overrated. That looks like it was great fun - except, of course, for the starvation rations. Thanks for taking the time to create the articles.

    Leather A5 Notebook Cover

Thanks for the extra info. I too struggle with stitching - but yours is far better than I can manage! (Mine's usually ok on one side but wobbly - on a good day - on the other.)

What would you forage in your local area?

Are fiddle heads ok to eat? As a kid I boiled them up - to Mum's disgust - but I thought that they were now regarded as unwise if not actually dangerous to eat. Any information?

Well done to your son for the spoon (+ well done to Dad for the pan :) ).

    Simple packframe

Very nice idea + saves all the measuring + notching, etc of the Roycroft. As Mr Fenna notes, however, there is an element of serendipity in the wood. I will continue with teaching Roycroft to my Scouts, partly in memory of Mr Kochanski and partly because it develops their knife skills...

    Withdrawn Fallkniven F1 (or H1)

Hi, I have had the Fallkniven F1 recommended to me by several people. I can't afford a new one at present. Does anyone have a used but usable F1 they'd be prepared to sell, please? I'd prefer a plastic sheath, right handed - but I think I can buy those separately (anyone know for sure?)...

    Fallkniven H1- any info?

Is this a "normal" F1 or one of the newer versions that Fallkniven have released?

    Fallkniven H1- any info?

Thanks to all who have replied - all info gratefully received. Does anyone in the Moray area own an H1 or F1? I have only handled one once and very briefly while gutting fish, so I'd appreciate the chance to hold and maybe cut with one. It's a chunk of cash to pay for a knife without being...

    Fallkniven H1- any info?

Tip? I thought the H1 had a generally strong and "bulletproof" blade. I think I have seen comments about the F1 tip breaking.

    Fallkniven H1- any info?

Thanks for that last insight. Any F1 supporters out there? I'm wondering if I should have a second look.

    Karrimor jaguar advice?

Berghaus better in the field; Karrimor better for holiday hiking, IMHO ;-)
