I've just bought a 5.11 tacklite pro shirt. Very impressed! I run really hot, even when sitting. To the point that +20c is as much as i can take (bare in mind i'm a tree surgeon and work out in the heat all day, wearing stupidly heavy gear). Always wear long sleeve shirts though, and the 5.11...

Nice job. I reckon, if you trim the 2 edges back to just behind the holes, you should be able to salvage that one. After all, the lacing on the back will hold it tight and doesn't get hit. That way the rest of the leather can be saved for your next axe :rolleyes:.

We always use the tick card from smidge. Has 2 removers, small and large and a magnifying glass. It's the size of a credit card, so fits nicely in my wallet.

It's not the smallest, but i carry my swedish army trangia in my day sack all the time. Inside it i can fit a couple of folding mugs, one of the fuel bottles that came with it, sachets of coffee and the polish mini 1 cup knorr soups and a small bottle of oil so we can fry up any shrooms we find...

I love my paraffin lamps and coleman duel mantel petrol lamp. the light they give out is way nicer than an electric. however, they are are heavy and bulky, so not so much good for backpacking. Candle lanterns are also great but, these days my eyes struggle with the light for reading etc. As for...

Just watched the first 2 seminars, very interesting and both Lori from Karamat and Dale and Colleen from Nature alive adventures gave very good talks. The talks are current and alot of what they have to say is very relevant in todays ongoing problems.

I've been in the same situation as you, but i always find myself spending the extra and going back to FR. I just like the fit and the designs. So much so, i've just treated myself to a pair of the new Vidda pro ventilated. Be interesting to see how they perform.
