    I've had a couple of these when I was a teenager in the 1980's and used to go hiking and camping with friends. Favourite meal was that we carried a tin each 1x stewed steak 1x potatoes and 1x peas All 3 went into the pan and a stew was made to feed all 3 of us

    Dutch canteen cup (systems)?

    I quite like the Dutch system , cup is more compact and in all the whole system I think from my personal experience is more packable and I like the choice between the two different size canteens eg 1ltr when carrying a pack and the old smaller green one fits in a pockets

    Travel light freeze at night, as the old saying goes. I would ditch the Kelly kettle and NATO sleeping bag and replace them maybe with a modern bag and a lightweight trangia or small gas stove, if you like burning stuff maybe a small hobo
