The small primus gas stove works well out on the moor or in areas with no trees , the mugs are pretty stable as I've not managed to knock any over yet.
Mess tins are too wide for such a small stove.
I have some Dutch stainless tins I use on open fires where they are quite good
Been using two crusader cups one under each canteen .
Works a treat with a rat pack meal stood up in the cup.
Heated the meal up fast and obviously used the water for the brew.
Cooker is a primus
I bought the centurio 30 recently and have been using it over Dartmoor walking .
Proving to be comfortable and adaptable.
Love the zips for the side pockets from my Cyclops to fit .

Used these before the Berghaus bergens, there excellent rucksacks and yours looks like it has years still in it of very hard use.

I also grew up in the 80's and loved camping hiking with all that old kit , never had any bad experiences and was left with loads of great memories
