    Booked Friday off work now, so myself Ali, Phil and Chez will arrive Friday morning if that's ok. It will give me a chance to show my friends the lay of the land and get set up before it gets dark.

    Protecting a carbon blade

    I carry a small pot with vegetable fat or lard in it. A tiny dab each side and wipe seems to work ok. Comes in handy when cooking as well.

    Milk alternative for when there's no fridge...

    Another vote for Nido powdered milk. It works well with muesli.
