    I remember once having the same issue & asking a neighbour who worked for K Shoes for some glue. He gave me a contact adhesive and a G Cramp. The repair outlasted the boots! That was when K shoes was a good brand.

    Cumbria Spoon group anyone?

    Ok. So there is a spoon group meeting at the National Trust hub in Windermere one Tuesday evening a month from 5-8pm. That doesn’t work for me in the winter, but I hope to join a few sessions in the summer. I’m posting it for others who may be interested.

    Any Chefs - Book suggestion

    Plus one for Larousse Gastronomique. Also for Food Lab. Michel Roux Sr’s book Pastry is a classic for patisserie also. That should at least get you started. Then probably Modernist Cuisine to catch up on the molecular stuff. Great British Chefs online is also good for keeping up to date.
