I think I have been lucky basically it is all there, I will get some new washers and pressure test first.
Then I will try and tidy up the monster soldering where the leg had come off following the advice on ClassicStoves carefully.
The only other damage is a dent which I can live with and...
May be giving it a hard test this afternoon making a spoon out of a leftover piece of the Hornbeam ;) lots of fine cuts, may take some time, as you have already seen it is well seasoned :thumbsup:

I purchased a Loop Knife blade from Dave at the Bushmoot and have just handled it.
I was lucky enough to find a nicely spalted piece of Hornbeam to use for the handle.
Having created some amazing shavings
I am very pleased with the finished handle
picked up a Primus 210 stove in need of fettling at the Bushmoot bring and buy, half the fun of the pressure stoves is bringing them back to life :camping:
Thanks Kevin I used to live just along from where they are in Littlehampton, the shop used to be a Bakers then and made some fine cakes. Will probably pay a visit after the Bushmoot :camping:

having recently reacquainted myself with the joys of pressure stove, I have acquired a Optimus 5s that needs some serious TLC
as you can see it needs a good clean and washers etc replacing. It also needs the inner and outer parts of the burner and one of the burner plates would be nice...
Hi in the top right of your first post in thread there is normally a drop down box marked thread tools, edit title is normally there.
I am not sure if the option disappears on older threads though
Old vaping bottles there's and idea. Museum of Curiosities that brings back memories, years ago when I was working for Gander removals one of the jobs was moving most of the exhibits after it closed to Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor back in the mid 80's. I wonder if they are still there :-)

certainly an Aladdins Den, I remember it when it was a bakery they made an awesome lardy cake.
Did you get a suitable fuel can, I am sure they would have been able to help.
When I am priming mine, I have meths in a cheap hip flask and use a syringe to fill fuel well which seems to work...
