Changes in your home during Autumn

When I had the chickens they always got a warm breakfast in the colder months. Definitely time for stews and casseroles etc

British Blades Forum Knife - The Coolest Knife That Never Was?

Looks like a well designed and useful knife. Release for 2027? A sort of anniversary anniversary knife?

    Buffalo clothing - Ben Fogle

I blame the Rohan adverts myself…. Two men looking into middle distance, resting on a log, the leg grab……

Responsible behaviour as the world changes.

Not to be argumentative or anything but would everyone here adhere to the rule? It’s sometimes easier to blame the people who live in towns or the young, but how many old country men (and women) would still claim to know best?

    What did you buy today?

Not bought as such but recovered a brand new right angled genuine 80s/90s army torch from my parents house. I put batteries in for old time sake….. It’s a wonder we didn’t bump into everything back then, bright it is not.

    Waterproof jacket recommendations

Still in my basket, as ever other things seem to take priority. I’m going to have a dig out at the weekend to thin out some of the jackets I have.

    Waterproof jacket recommendations

Evening all, Looking through my wardrobe I have a jacket shaped hole. I have a lightweight Jack Wolfskin jacket (feels like cotton rather than plastic) and a paramo rainproof that are great for the odd summer shower and I have a Keela Munro and Keela Falkland ventile that are great for full...

    Modern car technology

I think if you read the thread you might have some idea as to why people don’t like the “far safer cars”.

    What did you buy today?

    Duck bill latch?

    Modern car technology

Not necessary. The lane assist wants you in the middle of the lane, but there are times when you may choose to drive left or right, avoiding standing water, avoiding a poor road surface, getting out for a look prior to an overtake etc. The car can’t differentiate between that and the driving...

    What did you buy today?

Is the shaft a solid bar of steel? There used to be a breacher tool called thors hammer (for obvious reasons). Not many operators could manage a second hit but realistically didn’t need one!

What fungi did you spot today?

    Chicken of the woods?

Help me identify an old brand

I have vague recollections of that kit turning up at a cub camp in the early 90s. There were tents, rucksacks, jackets and DOE pouches for petrol stoves. All matching. Someone had taken a permanent marker to it with ‘LBH’ (London borough of Hounslow) in the most visible and random places...
