    Mag-lite Solitaire L.E.D torch ?

I have one, purchased one after finding the incandescent one and finding it lacking a bit. I like the build of the solitaire, the light is decent enough and batteries easy to source. I’ve always liked maglites, remember to put a smear of grease on the threads though because they can seize up

Bushcraft and homesteading skills in WW3

I can’t see the UK rounding up men to ship abroad to the frontline (wherever that might be) Home defence (volunteers) might be an option I guess? I hope it doesn’t come to this, in the First World War boys would lie about their age to go and fight, I imagine we’d see the reverse now

Bushcraft and homesteading skills in WW3

I don’t want to make too many assumptions but I imagine most of the members on here would dodge the draft by virtue of age?

    Tiny little hatchet or tomahawk….suggestions?

I have a Rindaldi hook (number 4 I think) that I’ve had 10 years or so. Quality is great. Thinned out a wind blown willow tree bough in no time with it. My only regret is not buying the hanging holster/hook

    Fight, flight or fawn ?

I think you’ve got to ask yourself how well you know them and how helpful you can actually be. My own parents didn’t visit for 36 hours, because they wanted to get their own heads straight first. They knew they would be no use during the shock phase. Some of those who couldn’t help due to...

    Fight, flight or fawn ?

Similar thing here, I lost my first wife to cancer in 2013, I was 28. In the days and weeks following I was inundated with visitors and whilst I appreciated their intention at times it felt that I was helping them more. The most helpful people, generally those with emergency service/disaster...

    Fight, flight or fawn ?

Little point overthinking. Circumstances didn’t allow for a safe stop and someone else assisted who was more accepting of the risk or had a different set of circumstances. No point feeling bad or dwelling on it

What is wrong with UK police?!

Kind of gives you an idea of his personality.. unless his career is linked to guns of course, in which case his next renewal may be interesting!

What is wrong with UK police?!

I would imagine the stalking element prompted the arrest, as well as the other post which he has chosen not to include in the article

    Emergency Bleed Kit

Make it as simple as possible whatever you include, the kit contained in most of the pre-made boxes is quite specialist and can cause more issues if not used correctly

    Help with a leaky horn

I did consider this as an option as the original is so roughy finished. If I can get a nice bit of wood I might look at this option again

    Help with a leaky horn

Thank you, it’s a crude plug. Epoxy adhesive is a good idea The horn is reserved for ale, mead or wine so nothing hot

    Help with a leaky horn

Afternoon, No, not age related nor do I need to see my GP… On a recent trip to Africa I bought a horn beaker from a market stall. The bottom is plugged with a smaller bit of horn but there is a small gap and it’s leaking. Can another recommend how to seal it? Ideally I’d bee sealing the...
