Plates - what plate/ bowl do you use when camping?

Generally I use a crusader mug or what ever billy can I have used to cook in. But if I am cooking for mor than me I have some MSR alpine plates and bowls. Nice and light and metal. I’m not a fan of plastics for eating off and I find metal easier to clean/look after. Louis.

Multi band radios - teach me

I believe that currently Police, Fire and Ambulance along with some other services use the Airwave system which is a digital and needs to be received by units on the same network, like a mobile phone network type system. so not accessible by listening to the correct frequency like it was to the...

Lightest high-quality jungle boots that won't beak the bank

@hopper333 Firstly it sounds like a really interesting trip, is it self organised or with a company? Out of curiosity I weighed my boots, UK 10 W (marked as 10 1/2 W in US Size) a single boot (left) weighed in at 869g including a superfeet insole which was broadly the same as same boot in...

Responsible behaviour as the world changes.

Having spent many an hour in the forest dealing with the stupidity of people who visit but don’t have an ounce of common sense or care about the environment that are visiting from miles away, or the problems that their activities will have. If I remember correctly the mushroom foraging was due...

    Dish washing in UK.

I wash in soapy water (Ecover), don’t rinse and drip dry. Never have had a problem. To be honest I would feel bad wasting hot water for a random rinse. (Live in a house with no central heating and only hot tap is in the for the kitchen sink)

    Binoculars

The last pair I purchased were Hawke Endurance ED 8x32, I narrowed them down in the shop with the others in the price bracket I was looking at, the reasons I picked them over the others were the close focus ability, if you are stood up you should be able to get a sharp focus on the toecap of...
