Withdrawn Hill People Gear Waxed Canvas Kit Bag

Nearly new, special order from the US to get one of these in waxed canvas. It’s a lovely thing, but just gathering dust as it’s too small for my binos. I’m after £120 posted via Bank Transfer. Full description and specs below: Waxed Canvas V1 Original Pattern Kit Bag, specially manufactured...

    Ka-Bar fighting knives

Have you had to pull a dagger out on a blue-haired, Tesla driving they/them or do you exclusively target Ka-Bar wielding, Harley riding flippers of the bird? :D

    Ka-Bar fighting knives

I bought mine at the Navy Exchange in Bahrain, think I paid something like $70 for it. It’s a good looking knife, holds a decent edge but otherwise is a bit shite. Mine bent slightly after I pried an ammo tin open with it (no comments required on knife usage here), much to everyone’s great...

Surviving Extreme Heat- UK 40° summer days.- climate change related severe heat events

I have spent a lot of time in +40. I also drank a lot of booze in those temperatures. I recommend ice cold beer to stay hydrated with a few gin and tonics thrown in to aid refreshment.

Chris Reeve Shadow III. Survival Knife.

Sable IV, got it last week. I was somewhat dubious about the strength of these what with the hollow handle, now I’m pretty convinced that these things would survive the armageddon. Incredible craftsmanship!

Sold Hill people gear qui-ya backpack

Qui-Ya is a brilliant pack, you’ll love it. I’m only really after one water bottle pouch and one GP pouch, so if you fancy a bit of splittage then please let me know.

    Fjallraven Trousers?

Sounds like you shouldn’t be trusted with trousers.

    Fjallraven Trousers?

Vidda Pro Ventilated are the way to go. I pretty much live in mine these days. The vents and elasticated crotch are worth the extra cash, just be mindful of ya bawbag if crossing a barbed wire fence. Trust me on that!

    LARGE COMFORTABLE BACKPACK RECOMMENDATIONS

I really rate the Mystery Ranch or Hill People Gear kit. I have a HPG Qui-Ya and it’s incredibly comfortable. Neither brand is cheap, but they are extremely durable and high quality. Buy once, cry once. You only have one spine so treat it nice!

Learning the ways of UK Bushcraft

Just to chime in, but please don’t make the mistake of believing that instructor status is a shortcut to experience and expertise. I hold a fair few instructor competencies in both Military and Civilian spheres, the courses are simply vehicles to ensure that you are able to teach others theory...

Recommendations for gear to start my bushcraft journey!

I forgot one other vitally important bit of kit - a good headtorch. Can’t go wrong with a Petzl Tikka but I’d recommend a Nitecore HC65 if you think you’ll be out at night a lot.
