    Hestra quality issues?

Very good result (hopefully they also check their manufacturing processes as a result).

    Hestra quality issues?

Absolutely, and it would make me reticent to accept yet another replacement pair (hence preference for a repair as then it'll hopefully get really properly done all over). With regards to PK, I can also see someone like him stitching them back up as and when it happens, assuming that he's using...

    Hestra quality issues?

I don't have experience with these, but commenting to say that that is not acceptable for gloves marketed the way they are, and especially at that price. It would be interesting to hear how they react to your experience this time; I'd hope they'd want to inspect them to see what's gone wrong...

    Kukri, Newton billhook alternative

That's looks like the one - horrid thing in my experience though I did see previously that they've made a few versions of it, calling it the same thing, sometimes with a partial tang so it's possible they make other changes to thickness and grind over the years without renaming them. That price...

    Kukri, Newton billhook alternative

Glad to hear Condor may have improved things over the years with their parangs. I have an old Condor Parang (don't think it has any other parts to the name) and it is terrible - it's really thick, it's really heavy, and the edge bevel is really steep so it acts more like a (rubbish) axe. The...

Might gaiters work to go with your existing trousers?

    Imgur blocks UK access

Then it's a performance in response to the government's performance. The gov know it'll achieve nothing meaningful, they just want to be seen to be doing something. I'm not being politically partisan FYI, I level the same at the previous government for e.g. the ninja/zombie/whatever it is knife...

    Buffalo clothing - Ben Fogle

I see. The poncho is still listed as UK made, but, they very clearly state that no discounts as available on it! I bought one a while back; it's fine, but the hood is not adjustable and it gets annoying fast.

    Buffalo clothing - Ben Fogle

That is a shame that they've moved much of their production abroad. Did they announce this or have you found it out by looking at their product descriptions?

    Buffalo clothing - Ben Fogle

I've tried on various Rohan jackets and trousers in one of their stores and it felt very tired, like it was cut in a style that wouldn't fit anyone, already pre-saggy and misshapen. Was not impressed with it.

    Waterproofs who needs them?

@Falstaff I'm not a biker, but I use forced air dryers in my walking boots, called shoe or boot dryers online. The ones I use have flexible corrugated hoses down which the air (can be heated or not by the device, depending on the model) flows. Need to be careful with leather and heat, but...

Keela Ventile Heritage Smock long-term review

Yes, Hilltrek are correct, there is a DWR applied to Ventile (which is rebadged etaProof made by Stotz in Switzerland, has been for a long time now: https://ventile.co.uk/history-copy/). You will need to reproof it given time. The negatives of the old PFC DWRs being terrible for the environment...

    Spyderco UK Penknife ? ''Edited''

Yes, those SpyDKs became really hard to find. The next SpyDK was the Pingo, but that was a hot mess with its thick blade stock for such a small knife.
