I think I have said it before but it is worth repeating; the british model of bushcraft knife is utterly boring. It' s the knife worlds version of beans on toast. Beans on toast is something I would eat only if I am starving and there is absolutly nothing else to eat.

I don´t mind the darkness of autum or the snow and proper cold of winter. But what I do hate is a winter when it first get proper cold and snowy and then suddenly start to thaw and freeze, thaw and freeze. That means the old snow melts and then freeze again so the roads look a bit like this...

No, no blues here. It´s fantastic when it gets dark early. There is a little boy inside me that still likes to play with flashlights. About a month or so from now we should get the first snow, then it gets light again.
