    Why a folding knife

Clearly you do not understand me. I am saying that knives have not been demonized and deemed forbidden to carry everywhere and everytime until a few decades back. In yesteryears knives and daggers were commonly carried by everybody so no need for a folding knife in the sence of having a knife...

    Why a folding knife

No it was not. Knives have been seen as normal everyday wear as your clothes until the last few decades.

What wildlife did you spot today?

Insulated mid-layer for extreme wind and cold weather

First thing to understand about insulation is that it is not the fabric that insulate but the air that the garment binds. 1 inch of down insulates better than 1 yard of concrete. Inside concrete walls in our apartment are cold to the...

    Why a folding knife

What carry restrictions do you refer to, what century? I know of some restrictions of citizens to carry swords in cities in medieval times. That´s why so many carried daggers or alehouse daggers (in britain) for self defence.

    Branston pickle (sort of).

    What did you buy today?

I use knots so seldom that I never remember how to tie them when needed. These make things easier.

    Tea

I wrote somewhere here that I don´t fancy tea and prefer coffee. But now I have found a tea that is to my liking; lapsang souchong. First heard about it in the movie Phantom Thread but paid no more attention to it. Then some time ago I read about it and the description of it sounded like it...

Bushcraft and homesteading skills in WW3

WWI boys had a romatizised view on war. Boys of today have seen plenty of videos from real wars and should know what a hell war is.
