    Keith Beaney's GoFundMe Campaign

Some of you will know Keith Beaney from the ground art he produces at the BushMoot. If you've not met him he is a great guy and has asked us to post this to promote his GoFundMe page he has created while he fights prostate cancer. If you're able to help him please look here...

    Making my first cloak

So I've been talking to Mary (Toddy) for the past few weeks about making a cloak. The thought started off with our local school doing a world book day character fancy dress so I thought I quite fancied something from LOTR. Then I thought that actually I wanted something for sitting around the...

    Looking for a light rucksack

Pricey but IMO Osprey is the way forward for lightweight rucksacks. I've had a couple now and they're well made with good attention to detail. My Exos was lighter than the box it arrived in.

    Down Blanket.

Tony had one from CostCo I was looking at on Tuesday, quite uncanny as I've just clicked off the Alpkit sale after looking at theirs only to see you post this.

    Iron balls!

That might do it if I stripped the paint off. Janne - Basically I'm going to wrap them in aluminium foil and hit them together, get a loud crack and a spark from an extremely localised thermite reaction, you can also hit them either side of a sheet of paper and burn through it. Been after...

    Iron balls!

Didn't think of reclamation yards, I'll have a look around and see what I can find around here.

    Iron balls!

I did think about industrial but they'd probably be stainless and I need iron. Small cannon balls would be ideal, around fist sized but larger isn't an issue.

Mini Bow making video - Episode 1

This is quite new for us, first time filming and editing, have a few ideas on the next round once we've posted this batch so watch this space. Episode 2 will cover the roughing out and shaping of the bow.

    Iron balls!

Slightly odd request but I need a couple of largish iron balls for some Science demos I want to do. Needs to be iron and not a problem if slightly rusty. Any ideas?

So I know most of us will make some changes to kit between winter and summer camping but do you find yourself camping differently or setting up your camp in a different way?

    USB Microscope

I've got an Ipevo webcam/visualiser with a microscope attachment so I can place it over any older microscope and take pictures on the laptop. Not that expensive so might be worth looking at.

    One of those strange burners

I've got a Caldera Cone and combined with the Alpkit Pot it's easily my favourite lightweight cooking setup, boils 750ml of water on less than 20ml of meths or I can raise the pot up and use it as a wood(twig) burner/hobo stove. Had it for a few years now But I think if memory serves me right...
