I did the same. Car crash tv for sure. You’ll learn more about humanity than survival from that programme. It was entertaining though if you like watching soggy people having hissy fits.

I’ve had one of these for 15 years. If you can only have one knife as a cook, then go for one of these. Absolute bargain, I have Global knives, but this is the most frequently used knife in my kitchen.

A knife is a knife. Calling it a “combat knife” doesn’t make it any more or less deadly than a 12” chefs knife. A Ka-Bar will definitely baton a lot better than a SAK too amongst many other things fairly obvious when comparing a fixed blade to a folder.
