    Catapult for Hunting

I thought stones didn't make good ammo because the odd shape meant they didn't always shoot straight. I think the size I use is 44 cal lead shot which I cast myself.

    The Covid19 Thread

A video well worth a watch.... I think it would be good to show children too who might not understand the importance.

    Shopping

This is where being a rollie smoker is a benefit... What you do is fold the Rizla into 4 rip the corner off so you end up with a hole in the middle then slide it over your finger, wipe area with finger then slide the Rizla off taking the c**p with it. Then wash hands for 20 seconds. 50 wipes in...

Yes that's ok but I'll need a few days to get it boxed (might need 2 boxes). I can also print a collection form if needed.

For Sale Job lot of kit

Hi Guys I have recently moved house and I found loads of kit I had in the loft which I have no use for. It consists of 4 packs one of which is an LK35 with Swiss army liner the others I'm not sure of the make or models but all have PLCE pouches. Untitled by Ben Close, on Flickr Untitled by...

Cooking out of a partially converted van

Before we had a fold away awning we use to tie the tarp guy line inside the van (onto passenger side A pillar grab handle) and shut the door so the guy line goes through the door shut and the same on the boot then prop the tarp up with extendable washing line poles and peg the other two corners...

    Worth the wait! (VW T5.1)

I fitted a 2kw Webasto airtop over the Christmas break and took the van down to Exmoor last weekend for a test. I think it's one of the best features of the van after trying it over a cold damp weekend. I plumbed the heater into a fuel line in the engine bay (rear engine camper) rather than...

Journey to Vanlife stage 2 about to start

The trouble with buying used is that you never know whats been done with the van. I've had quite a few campers some fitted out and some not. The vans that have already been fitted out I have always had to strip and rebuild due to poor workmanship, dangerous wiring or the wrong materials used...

Nice offer, fair play for giving without taking and getting the thread moving again. Lets be honest it needed a nudge

Journey to Vanlife stage 2 about to start

No it's just the model but it's a bit confusing, in Europe I believe they we're known as T3's and in the UK T25. I think the correct term would be Type 2 T3. The Type 1 was the beetle the Type 2 was the van. The later vans like you mentioned (T32) is the gross weight rating. Our van is the model...

Journey to Vanlife stage 2 about to start

On our vans (both T25 Syncros) one is a converted panel van with no side windows and the other Syncro had 2 side windows on either side, we've fitted an aluminium window blank on the drivers side rear window as the cupboard inside covers half of the window. In an ideal world I'd like no rear...

Journey to Vanlife stage 2 about to start

If your fairly hands on you'd have no problem doing a lot of that yourself. Even if you can't do it all your self like van-wild said if you can do bits you will save a fair chunk. There's loads of guides online for fitting out vans as #vanlife is so popular at the moment. I would say watch and...

    But.... do you use it?

Many years ago I was working on a customers car and while rummaging around the glove box looking for the locking wheel nut I found a genuine woodlore knife. What shocked me was that it had been sharpened so much that the bevel started at the logo.

    Making Mead

Might have to have a go at that as we've still got loads of honey from this years extraction. Cheers for the demo.

    Sold Reindeer hide and sheepskins

Yes I believe it is a siliconed hide from Nordic outdoor. It was a birthday gift quite a few years ago. It does still moult a bit though but not as much as my other non treated one did before I traded it.
