    Birch bark followed by matchstick thick birch twigs. Both are high in waterproof, flammable oil.

    Cant say I have. I'll give it a bash though once its out again. Hogweed is one of my favorite wild foods. I also want to try your JBTH wasabi idea with some line caught bass/sushi when I get the rods out soon.

    Without wishing to cause offence, just get out and enjoy. You wont be the only 'thing' walking through the woods, let alone falling debris, extreme weather, poor seasons and on it go's. Just look at where your feet are going and try not to repeat your steps if its going to be a regular access...

    The only thing I will say is for doing rabbit, squiggles and pigeon you really want a fairly flexible and thin blade.     Best Briquettes to cook with?

    I've used the Weber stuff to smoke a Turkey a few years a go and a double row (one row lit, one not) burned for four hours. They are the best I've used, and worth the extra cost IMHO.
