I have a black widow type catapult that I have had and used occasionally for 40 years. I recently bought and then made my own catapult for flat bands.
The flat bands are way way better than the tubes on my black widow, so much so that I now consider the black widow a waste of time.
There are...
Awesome Steve well done.
If you need anyone to pop over check it out (I mean self isolate)for a night, Hannah is off school and I don't have much work to do:)
Make sure your PID is set up for a k type thermocouple. If you have not done this your readings could be a long way out.
I did a lot of re-search a few years back when trying to calibrate my home made kiln and never found a workable solution. If you do find one I will be all ears. I did read...
Plugging a sensor into a meter is no different from plugging your thermo-couple into the PID. You wouldn't know which is more accurate, also you will get different readings in different places in the kiln.
Best thing is to take HT recipies as a guide, do a load of experimentation in your kiln...
I used to carry an axe for splitting firewood but found that batoning with a big camp knife/machete was easier and safer. The knife is also lighter, takes less space and is far more versatile, so the axe doesn't now leave the house.
So why is batoning so frowned on?
I will have a go using...
The only thing all this discussion proves is that there is a lot of ambiguity, nobody really knows.
In which case it seems sensible to play safe and not have to worry about it.
So make sure both A and B (blade length and cutting edge length) are under 3" and you can't go wrong
I am with Stew on this one, the spirit of the law is to keep the blade length short. With B or C on their own you could in theory have a dagger with just the tip sharp.
If B and A are both less than 3" then you are covered.
I don't have any direct experience but a friend of mine added a front wheel drive e bike kit to one of his bikes and says it is dangerous - avoid
He has come off several times from loosing the front wheel when cornering. I assume the lightly loaded front wheel has insufficient traction to do...
Any particular time limits on the Thursday?

Thanks

I bought a tablet in Currys a few weeks back and paid in cash - I handed over £200 in £20 notes.
The young shop assistant took the cash and just stared at it for a while, wondering what was up, I assured him they were not forgeries.
Eventually he started to count them out, several notes in...
I was in exactly the same position as you a few months back.
I got the white water thing out of my system when I was younger, so it made sense to get something the family (2 + 1/2) could use for fun, picnics and the odd overnighter on easy waters.
We ended up buying a 16 ft Nova Craft Pal...
