    Farmer sprays cyclist wild camper.

Indeed, every contact leaves a trace. We can try and minimise it only. Most would consider urinating against a tree to be normal or acceptable, but if that’s the spot you hang your hammock or your children like to look for bugs you’d probably not agree.

    Salmon Ladder

Nice, I wonder how many Salmon have passed along it over the years? Never seen the addition so hope someone can answer

Voluntarily handing in a large blade to the UK police

Absolutely, sadly I don’t think it’s of high enough priority to be looked at to get an update. The 2024 zombie legislation states tip to handle, so I would imagine the EDC rules would be the same if it were to be amended

Voluntarily handing in a large blade to the UK police

I think the issue with this particular law is that it’s yet to be tested in court, so unlikely anybody in authority will be able to explain it.

    A Rare Find

Sorry I was quoting Pattree who was describing the 90 patt.

    A Rare Find

Both are decent bags to be fair, though the 90 patt definitely wins for me

    A Rare Find

I think you are referring to the 90 patt bag, the 58 bag has a heavy water resistant base that you toggle together then roll into the sewn in bag at the hood end. No separate stuff sack needed

Voluntarily handing in a large blade to the UK police

Will be interesting to see the final definitions, will saw and serrated be lumped together?

Voluntarily handing in a large blade to the UK police

I hate those photos, seized knives far enough, but handed in collections doesn’t seem right to me.

    Forest schools are a failure.

My 5 year old lad attends a forest school session once a week and looks forward to it. It’s within his regular school, a small section with some trees, log benches and a tarp set up. It seems they mostly look for insects or find leaves for artwork. I think it’s just run by a regular teacher...

    Banned dogs - thoughts

So because people will get one anyway we shouldn’t bother with a ban? Should we do away with driving licences, as someone who wants to drive will do so anyway? The ban will limit or reduce the problem. Hardcore XL bully fans will get one, but most people who want one won’t get one as they...

    Banned dogs - thoughts

There will always be more dog attacks because there are more dogs. If we could keep tigers in the home that figure could rise ;) My point is that even in a highly skilled and controlled environment these incident's can occur and be fatal. These are handlers who have known and loved their...

    Banned dogs - thoughts

Look at big cats in captivity, many a zoo keeper has been killed by the animals in their care.

    Banned dogs - thoughts

Guns aren’t totally banned in the UK, but are capability restricted and their (legitimate) supply restricted. BB gun with low power and generally low harm. Little restriction. AK47 with high power and capability to do serious harm - banned. In theory I could have that AK in my house...

You are going on a 3 day trip and have to stay UK legal so what do you carry?

I’m not sure on your experience in this area but you may want to refresh your knowledge. You do not need to consent to a search - police can use reasonable force if necessary. You can only receive a caution after interview, for which you have the right to legal advice. You can only get sent to...

    WANTED Dumb Phone

The SIM card is also what gives you your phone number. Ask people around you which network they are on as coverage can vary between networks.

    Banned dogs - thoughts

The issue isn’t that all of these dogs are stone cold killing machines, not at all. The issue is that when they do attack the damage they can cause is devastating, often fatal. I’ve lost count of the children maimed by the beloved family pet who wouldn’t hurt a fly (until the day he did) If...
