Bushcraft tools that could be classed as weapons?

In the UK that’s part of the issue being discussed. As soon as you consider an item for use as a weapon the intent part of the law is complete. Admittedly it would be quite hard to prove your intent, unless they found a forum post or similar.

    New from maker of Sissipuukko.

Nice that. The M95 was on my list about 20 years ago when it was advertised in the back of Combat and Survival magazine for about £90. I didn’t ever order and still regret that.

Electronic Bushcraft, Sourcing Energy and building Radio Communication from Earth

I’ve always questioned why the government favour blacked out SUV’s and men in suits in such events.

    EDC Pens?

I carry a space pen in the small pocket of my jeans/chinos. Being small it doesn’t break/stab me when I sit down. Prices have shot up on them though, so if I lost it I’m not sure I’d replace it. I have a Bic 4 colour mini too

Bushcraft tools that could be classed as weapons?

Actually there is another on here by Wayland (I think) being stopped in his van full of swords, spears and other weaponry. Have a balanced and entertaining view if I remember correctly

Bushcraft tools that could be classed as weapons?

I’m not keen to shift goalposts or derail threads, but since 2012 there have been 12 summer moots, numerous winter moots, hundreds of outdoor/bushcraft gatherings and probably thousands of camping trips, wanders, walk with a brew etc by members here, all of which involved people travelling and...

Bushcraft tools that could be classed as weapons?

One example from 2012. With a group of lads who had to be lured from the pub. The list of TOOLS is pretty extensive too. We know nothing of the incident other than what the member says.

Bushcraft tools that could be classed as weapons?

I think the fact that despite 3 pages of speculation nobody has put up an example of having an issue with carrying sharps probably speaks volumes. The law is open to interpretation to provide a degree of reasonableness based upon what a normal reasonable person would believe is right.

    Legality and Perception of EDC's

Yes, I consider very carefully anything I carry on me in public. I have a good understanding of the law, but I also want a hassle free and quiet life. I live in West London and commute in daily, knives or anything that could be perceived as a weapon is frowned upon so rather than have to...

    New knife laws

There was a point (no pun intended) in the 90’s where this was the case. Sharpened and worn under a tubi-grip bandage for concealment. It’s not the case anymore though. Any knife can do harm, but it’s about an image popular with gangs. I’ve handed a few “zombie” knives. Poor steel, no edge...

Watching with interest, I share your spec. Can’t stand this current trend of multiple modes and click 4 times for strobe etc

    Swedish preparedness pamphlet

Dunno about the cost, but it’s in. It was an option as far back as 7/7, but there was no measure on how many responders were registered.

    Swedish preparedness pamphlet

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/the-emergency-services-mobile-communications-programme/emergency-services-network#about-the-emergency-services-network It’s called ESN. Gives emergency services priority on 4G masts

There used to be a flat shelf available for the Alice pack. Perhaps an Alice pack frame/para Bergen/gs Bergen frame could be adapted? Something like...

Pre-Charge Pneumatic air rifle Stirrup Pumps

Off topic but I love that the users of the pump are correctly dressed. There’s a similar image of a man using a fire extinguisher wearing a bowler hat.

    HEXAMINE. PLEASE READ!

There are plenty of chemicals used in agriculture that are dangerous and can be used to make things that go bang. If an alternative becomes available then I imagine restrictions on the dangerous materials will follow. Hexamine has largely been replaced by alternatives so is straight forward...
