Today has been full of birds. Woodpeckers, nuthatches, great, blue, coal and long tailed tits, robins and blackbirds :) even the usual sparrows are looking so bright, sharp and colourful just now. They're all pairing up too.

Our water is soft too, but the water board in their wisdom now chlorinate our potable water supplies :sigh: On t'other hand, we no longer have whisky coloured water coming through when it pours hard up on the Lanark moors. They've gotten very good at filtering out the peat.

I have no idea then why it works, because the cagoules and water proof trousers were definitely letting in before I washed and reproofed them. I used the wash in stuff, hung the clothes outside to dry off and then ran them through the tumble drier....and they no longer let in. I confess that...

I too find it needs 'set', and I too use the tumble drier :)

Our local zoo used to sell bags of lion dung to deter the deer. Seemed to work :)
