    I have found (from experimentation so take it as you will) that fresh, free range eggs keep for about 3 weeks from the date of laying, if they are kept in a dark place that is reasonably cool, not necessarily in the fridge. If you are unsure about the egg you want to eat, and don't want to risk...

    It depends on the tree. Sometimes it's fresh and you will need a knife to help things along a bit, but if it's been dead for a while then you can usually just rip it off no problem. :)

    I seem to be lucky with ticks as well, touch wood, I've never had one, must have bitter blood! Like Toddy, I've used to play in sheep fields that had deer as well up in Wales. Come to think of it, I never had trouble with mozzies, clegs or midges either, although they love me now? weird!

    For burns... Aloe Vera straight from the plant is by far the best thing I have found, although plantain is a very close second!

    the red string is the first one, the green the second. you just repeat the sequence with which ever string is at the end... it looks a bit of mess to begin with then it gets better :) hope that helps, if you are confused, let me know :)
