    Bushcraft too popular?

To be honest I dont think the popularity of bushcraft has increased the amount of t##ts dropping litter in the countryside, there has always been people doing this and there always will be, no matter of education will slove this. I am sure all the programmes by Ray etc..has given a far...

    Best tinder for possibles pouch

I second cotton wool, I use the flat square pads for removing make up as they are made up of three layers, put them in a ziplock bag with a bic lighter. They work a treat.

I think I will regret this question??

lean to's are great in woods as you dont get side ways rain, so there should be no prob with getting wet, they are best avoided in the open though me thinks.

    Bushcraft too popular?

Exactly these people have no respect for any thing let alone a wood. If you did try to teach them about wild life etc.. they would probably just trash the area the next week to spite you. Just really a shame there are so many young people like this now a days.

    Bushcraft too popular?

I am afraid it doesn't matter what you do you will always find kno##ers in any hobby/interest that spoil it for others. As long as there are the good folks like you/us on here we will have to just do a little tidy up as we go along. I also think sometimes people often leave behind maybe a...

    Best dehydrated food??

For the weight of a rat pack remember a lot of the stuff can be chucked, the only thing worth eating in them IMHO is the boil in the bags, for lunch just have a mars bar. Might be an idea to pack a couple of boil in the bags, just in case. They are so fast to prepare and can be eaten cold in an...

    Has the world gone mad!!!

I was thinking about the rising prices of these knives, surly a way to stop this would be for one of the knife makers on here, maybe either Mick, Stuart or Bernie to contact Woodlore and offer to start making the woodlore again under licience for Ray. Just a simple birdseye maple or a few other...

    'Buy Your Own Wood'

I assure I did read the thread before making comment. Tim has given a vague background about him and his company, it looks like he has sold previous woods before on his site, yet after maybe selling over £500,000 worth of woodland he hasn't got a address we can see, I am sorry I find that a wee...

    Has the world gone mad!!!

I decided on a Stuart Marsh Bushy, I have been after one of his knives for ages, always watched his ebay auctions and normally would make a bid, however they always ended up at a far greater price than I thought they were worth. I finanally managed to bag one the other day, I stuck in a bid of...

    'Buy Your Own Wood'

I was actually looking at this site last night However I am very put off by an 0845 number and no address for the company. Not saying this is a scam as I have no evidense to support this. Another reason I would be a little cautious is the "only a few plots left, get in quick" sort of pitch.
