    Clematis hearth board/timber

i have a selection of elder and some mullein. I get blackened smoke and tips of drill, but my hearth is just an old bit of pine i had lying round. It isn't really very suitable, poor material.

    Clematis hearth board/timber

hi guys, would anyone happen to have some clematis knocking about they would be willing to part with? Am desperate for some as an alternative to the rubbish I’m trying to use for hand drill! I can offer swaps and stuff... plus a huge hug and kiss if the wood allows me success in the hand drill! :)

    What's missing on the site?

Hi Tony, Have we ever considered a Scandinavian/European sub-section? Maybe a sub-section on Scandi knives, Sami crafts, trips planning etc. Just a suggestion. We could re-name it Bushcraft Europe. Give the Americans some competition! Although, we could allow Canadians some exposure...

    Bury or burn?

Re wrap ur food in grease proof paper and paper bags before you go camping. It won’t sweat up in ur pack, and u can just burn the paper when done. Obviously you just recycle/dispose the plastic at home.

As well as being a bushcrafter, I’m also interested in military history. I think the winter war and continuation war hold lots of interesting facts for living off the land and outdoors skills. I hope you like this... I might look at doing commissions? Finnish army gas mask bag.

    Birch bud schnapps

I’m a total lightweight nowadays. I remember trying to ‘keep up’ with various Danes, swedes, and Germans in my younger days... it was tough.
