    Alternatives to ventile?

I have no experience of that range but I did once get a very good "mystery" dry waxed, tight woven cotton/cotton blend fabric off a market stall ... it was very good but I have not mentioned it before as I have no idea what it was! Some of that range look very interesting - but the more...

    Alternatives to ventile?

Machine wash at 40 with non bio eco soap if they are really bad :)

    Alternatives to ventile?

For cheap and basic - I have a Highlander waterproof breathable synthetic fabric suit: it works to keep me dry, looks like a sack that fits where it touches and is noisy, has badly placed and overly small pockets , for my taste ... but it does a job.... at a low price.... It comes no where near...

    Alternatives to ventile?

    Alternatives to ventile?

I love Ventile - it is my" go to" fabric for all but the worst weathers! Invented for immersion suits during WW2 it IS waterproof when wet - for all practical purposes - but you need a good (wool) mid layer for comfort under it. I have used many different models of jacket/smock and currently use...

    My Covid-19 and later projects

Project 98 Netting needle and net I was given a bit of Churchyard Yew a while ago and decided to see if it was seasoned enough to work yet .... so I made a Netting Needle - to go with all the others I have made in the past! Naturally I then had to make yet another net, this time with edge ropes...

    One use of ammo can.

That looks very practical! Personally I do not have a smart phone, shaver, power bank etc ... my camera and dumb phone (not smart, always off)just sit either in the van or in my pocket...

    My Covid-19 and later projects

Project 97 Another bow saw! I have made loads of these over the years - but the last one is showing it's age, so , using off cuts from my tables and chair, I made another :)
