    Woodland Custodianship

The woods hat I play in took a real beating with over 20 trees down - luckily none falling into the communal area of my camp, though a couple of the most used pitches had a big Scots Pine land over them! The toilet area was pretty trashed and half my time in the woods has been clearing and...

    Makers of canvas/fabric goods

This was a while before Covid - so not part of that thread :) For neat seams I would recommend fully rolled or lapped seams - or bind them for lack of bulk as you mention. Otherwise you could overlock the edges (most modern machines have one or more suitable stitch options) or simply zigzag...

What do you want to have on Bushcraft UK?

When I say "support" - that could include posting the odd lesson (making/sewing stuff) and if I could figure out how to record passes/failures, even assessing the various attempts made by folk to try the skills... I do not make videos so that might limit my contributions, as would not being good...

What do you want to have on Bushcraft UK?

I like the idea of the Bushcraft lessons - but I am not volunteering to organise it :) My IT skills are very poor (I only use 2 fingers to type!) and just do not have the IT or People Skills to cope - I will support the idea but leave a better operator to organise it all :) There are reasons...

Most unusual knife design you own?

As far as "unusual" design knives I have actually used is this Schrade thing ... bought it second hand after the original owner had removed the screwdriver things from the hollow handle. I slightly reprofiled it and made the sheath. It is too handle heavy and generally clumsy in use so it rarely...
