    North 511 smart watches

If it’s doing the rounds on Facebook then it’s a definite no. Mind you, I’ve zero understanding of smart watches or why anyone would want anything that needs regular charging. Can you change batteries in them or are they like most phones now and sealed in to make them obsolete in a few years?

    Sold 5.11 Defender-Flex 32”x32” Volcanic

I think the George Foreman might be more topical? ;)

    Sold 5.11 Defender-Flex 32”x32” Volcanic

That’s my equivalent of the Corby trouser press mate. Sealed in a drawer with too many other pairs of trousers. Maybe I should do more pics, I thought these would be gone quickly.

Trip Report Pine forest debris shelter overnighter

Inspiring, thanks. It’s a two way street that, him learning and enjoying it is the gift to you.

    Authentic glue for leathercraft.

There’s a pub in Swindon you probably know called The Glue Pot. We broke down in a transit van on the way home from Wales once and ended up in there.

The 'I've found a bargain' thread

The whole range look like they’ve been put through the dryer on the wrong setting, like most blokes trousers today, a bushcraft equivalent. Fact they’re causing a stir on social media is probably influencer induced. Longjohns, thick wool socks, mid leg leather boots, nah..

    Gerber Stowe

Agree with all the above. If it’s being taken out to use, then that’s good reason. A chef may well carry 3 or 4 knives to and from the location daily. Mainly, I’d like to think in a non urban environment, that discretion on the part of the officer is applied. And, I don’t see many rural...

    Gerber Stowe

I know someone is going to say this, so I’ll get it out of the way. Why a slipjoint? If it’s being used for food prep, that’s a good reason to have a fixed blade with you. I have folding knives I use in the campervan because they’re convenient and pack away safely so I don’t cut myself rummaging...

For Sale Cheap and decent knives

You can, thank you. Ok if I message you later, I’m busy the rest of the day?

For Sale Cheap and decent knives

Added in bold, I’m selling in lots of at least 2, preferably more. The Spyderco is on hold to the first enquiry last night, he also needs to choose another knife. I’ll make postage adjustments for anything more than 2 so the knives get a lot cheaper the more you buy. £6 off per knife added.

    Lowered expectations and greater happiness

I’m very much of a mind to Keep it Simple, and like you, I’m finding I enjoy life more without constantly distracting myself. I confess to being a gear freak and used to self justify another Maxpedition bag, or a Fjallraven coat, or the latest whatever. Your purchase of a Blue Spot hand axe, my...

For Sale Cheap and decent knives

Some more decent knives. To make this reasonably cost effective, as all of these are going to need age verification, they must go in lots of at least 2 please. Small package is £7, label has to be bought online, and the buyers details have to be put it. It’s really not worth doing for each knife...

    Sold 5.11 Defender-Flex 32”x32” Volcanic

Bought as semi formal wear for a job that decided to adopt black workwear only. Worn a handful of times when kind of smart is needed, but hardly used. 7 pockets as there are 2 slim ones between the standard back and front. Comfy flex, and generous 32” on the waist. £30 inc postage and PayPal...

    Seeding mistletoe

It’s the John Cowdray Arboretum, it’s fairly new and contains some interesting trees, but I’m not bothered enough to start finding out why they’re not labelled. The Cowdray Estate goes back hundreds of years, there are maps of the grounds and walks but no specifics on the arboretum. Here’s one...

    Seeding mistletoe

It is. I found the tree yesterday. It’s in the arboretum at Cowdray Park where there are loads of different trees and not one has a label or tag.:( I can’t see the point of a collection of anything that isn’t labelled for education.

Petrified Fish Beluga - fixed blade, unboxing

It’s a real handful of knife, food preps well though there’s a slight compromise due to the thickness of the steel. But it’s a deep blade so the grind saves it. The PF knives have that ‘thing’ you only get with certain knives, that satisfaction when they’re in hand, pocket, or bag. Fondle...

    Seeding mistletoe

Thanks :) I think it’s probably the finest cone I’ve ever found. Re: the Infuencer God, perhaps. Enough for a Level 10 Tengu beak tip for sure. ;)

    Seeding mistletoe

And, bonuses. Mistletoe wood, which is pretty boring but if anyone wants a bit I’ll gather some and post it. Maybe a section of the knobby bits sanded smooth and polished would look good? Plus, a superb fir cone. Which was under some Sorbus, so I’m not 100% sure of where it came from. The...
