Im a big fan of puukkos especially the rhombic pekka/joonas style of puukko.
With that as my inspiration this is the start of my interpretation of a modern puukko.

I use files for knives a lot. Look out for nicholson as said earlier but oberg file are great too. You cant use any file, old is better as newer cheap files tend to just be case hardened
nearly done just a bit polishing
41 pieces of scrap leather cut
Glued up curing
Rough shaped at 40g
120 grit
Up to 600grit and a bit of neatsfoot oil and light etch on the pommel and bolster
Ive done a little more. Bolster and pommel will be made from an old wrought iron horseshoe.
Cant decide what handle to put on it though.
Ive got loads of oak on my firewood stores or loads of leather scraps. Hmmmm decisions decisions

Not the cheapest but ive seen some for a lot more £
You wouldnt regret getting them.
Also he makes them to order so im sure he wouldnt mind making changes you micht want
