So everyone says not to pick CoW from a Yew because of the risk of transfer of the very poisonous Taxines from tree to fungi. And frankly I am not about to take a gamble, especially as I've already had a few heart attacks!
Now I have several books on fungi and one go to book called Edible...
Looking for something a bit more lightweight than my Brandit Mule and stumbled across this. Too small for me. I prefer something bigger and to have the space even if I don't use it than need it and not have it. But I did think this looked quite smart and from a brand you wouldn't normally...
I'm with Tony ^^^ you'll have the bug in no time - a hammock will be next on your list.
Enjoy it.

Likewise. I was thinking of all the complicated algorithms the things brain must have been running through for every single movement. Quite amazing how much they've com on. I wonder what Maurice would have made of it.
Land Rovers are my main passion. I have owned many over the years - 14 to be precise. That said, now for the first time in over 20 years I am not an owner of any Land Rover and I'm not really missing the blood sweat and tears that go into maintaining one either - that is assuming you have an...
That's an idea.
I never tried one of those but I did try a double alpine butterfly and fig 8 'bunnies ears' - and that's how it was tied before I put the bolt through it this morning.
I have had another idea now though. If I can fashion a bracket with say an angle the same as the slope of the...
Yeah I thought it was but didnt like to say just in case it wasnt and youd paid good money for it [emoji23]
I might have to try something similar with one now I've seen that.

Afternoon all,
I have a hammock hanging in garden (DD Frontline XL to be precise). The one end is bomber on the neighbours tree. The other end is less convincing. What I'd like is a metal bracket to join all three pieces of the 'frame' in a triangular teepee type fashion. And be able to take...
Ah I got you. But I still cant help I'm afraid. Maybe someone else will.

Can't help with your query because i can't quite picture what you mean but I guess you are probably familiar with JayJay's in Brecon. It sounds like something they could knock up for you.

Do blackbirds flock like this? And are they all young/female blackbirds or something similar?
Mrs OLO is convinced they are. I am only partially convinced. The one on the water defo is but not so sure about all of them.

Thanks for the correction. Trees aren't a strong point of mine but I desperately want them to be. I'm sure I've got at least a few trees worth of tree books!

Off which of the pines is this? Its soft to touch, very pliable. Seems like maybe a young shoot. Picked it up off a footpath in a mixed wood. It's a bit like a Christmas tree and very floppy!

Rgr. I'd forgotten about that latest addition.
I'd also add, don't be fooled by the rubbish on Amazon or Ebay. Tourniquets are approved. Do please by an approved one. You'll only get one opportunity to check it works and if it breaks on you it's probably already too late.
OLO...
It's up. I had to dumb down the volume a little as it made such a difference to the rustling of the trees because it was so windy but I think you can still tell the difference. I added the media mod at around 14 minutes.

Two words. Absolutely brilliant.....
If you are looking specifically for a high quality lightweight setup then you won't go far wrong with this. I have now got the light and media mod too. One downside is that adding the media mod stops the unit from being waterproof but I've found that the...
