    Iron balls!

That might do it if I stripped the paint off. Janne - Basically I'm going to wrap them in aluminium foil and hit them together, get a loud crack and a spark from an extremely localised thermite reaction, you can also hit them either side of a sheet of paper and burn through it. Been after...

    Iron balls!

Didn't think of reclamation yards, I'll have a look around and see what I can find around here.

    Iron balls!

I did think about industrial but they'd probably be stainless and I need iron. Small cannon balls would be ideal, around fist sized but larger isn't an issue.

    Iron balls!

Slightly odd request but I need a couple of largish iron balls for some Science demos I want to do. Needs to be iron and not a problem if slightly rusty. Any ideas?

    USB Microscope

I've got an Ipevo webcam/visualiser with a microscope attachment so I can place it over any older microscope and take pictures on the laptop. Not that expensive so might be worth looking at.

    One of those strange burners

I've got a Caldera Cone and combined with the Alpkit Pot it's easily my favourite lightweight cooking setup, boils 750ml of water on less than 20ml of meths or I can raise the pot up and use it as a wood(twig) burner/hobo stove. Had it for a few years now But I think if memory serves me right...

    Veganism, Vegeterianism, Omnivorism

Difficult discussion without sounding judgemental this one. I eat meat although I definitely eat a lot less than previously and I also regularly enjoy vegetarian and vegan meals. There is quite a bit of evidence out there of the health benefits of being vegan and also some interesting reads...

    Slow cooker.

I haven't had that yet, I find the condensation usually acts to seal the pot but I never get enough steam that it will lift the lid that way even on the rare times I run it on high.

    Slow cooker.

Our slow cooker gets used quite a bit, especially this time of the year. Throwing veg and meat in the morning or even the night before and then walking in from work to that smell is great. Also do some fantastic curries, slow roasts and deserts, just needs a small bit of forward planning. I...

    Vegan advice

As above really, humous is easy to make yourself in bulk and a good protein source, guacamole, salsa, there are quite a few veg oil based margarines, coconut oil is really nice. If you can find some large wraps that she can eat they work quite well once they learn to fold them, my 3 year old son...

Hi Zamboni The issue I've got is with the site upgrade we've moved across from bushcraftuk.com/forums to bushcraftuk.com/community. In the links if you change the word forums to community the old link does actually work. I am looking at running a script which will look for all instances of...
