Recommend: Handmade leather belt for my father in law for Xmas.

Yo, I'm looking for a high quality handmade leather belt as a present for my father in law. Brown thick leather in a traditional style with a decent brass buckle would be perfect. But I don't know where to buy one and I don't know who the leather guys are on here any more.. Any recommendations...

    Which Silky saw?

I like the looks of the ultra Accel curve and the big boy. Does anyone have both? Either one particularly better than the other? Any is there a best place to order from? Cheers so far :)

    Which Silky saw?

Yo, as per title which Silky saw is best? Are all the blades made the same and only differ in length a what I assume is teeth per square inch? Anyway, originally I was looking for a bow saw but I can't find what I'm after for a reasonable price and don't want to make one so I guess I could try...

Fresh Rosehips: remove the seeds and itchy fluff now or after dried?

Yo, I picked a bag of rosehips today. A little late as most were gone or soggy but still enough to have a play with. Now I did a little reading and one person dries them, blends them up and drives out the itchy fur for tea making. But for making syrup and when boiling from fresh.. do I cut them...

Flint and steel + take down bow saw - £50 budget

Thanks guys. The wooden bowsaw I did find is similar to the one linked and it doesn't look like blades can be replaced. Not without modifying the saw which I don't mind doing but would rather make one if I have to get the tools out. And I'll check out Beaver bushcraft, their stuff looks good.

Flint and steel + take down bow saw - £50 budget

Yo, I have a £50 budget and I'd like to find a nice wooden take down bowsaw and a traditional flint and steel fire lighting starter kit for Xmas. I've only ever had the solid bow saws which are a pita to lug around and I've never used a flint n steel before so don't know what to go for. So far...

Thanks for the advice. I assumed there was a go to sheet or something specific. I just remembered I have a waterproof army poncho that although a little rough will work!

No fire winter camping - Which sleeping bag?

The bulk of the bag isn't a deal breaker as although I don't drive and carry everything myself I'm not the type to hike miles and miles away and would rather stealth camp where ever suitable. The stealth sale t is also a part of why there may be no fire in some areas. I've got a cheap foam yoga...

No fire winter camping - Which sleeping bag?

Yo, what's the deal with winter camping and not having a fire to keep you warm , is there a range of affordable surplus sleeping bags capable of staving off the chills and keeping you cosy? I'd like to close up my new lavvu to keep my dog in/chilly wind out. But I've only got some super cheap...

    Ground sheet for polish lavvu?

Yo, as the polish lavvu don't come with a ground sheet and Britain is as wet as an otters pocket, what are you guys using with yours? The area ive picked to try mine out is near a pond, so damp and grassy. So I really do need something waterproof and the right size on a budget. Any particular...

    Novice wood carving kit

Do you want to carve stuff with a knife or with little specifically made carving tools? For the specific tools you can buy sets with a few to loads of tools in them and as far as I know flex cut do the best ones you're gonna find easily. They aren't particularly cheap but they are good quality...

    Trapping Supplies Clear out

Hello mate, I'm definitely interested in the 116 traps. If they are big enough to trap rabbit that is. I'd probably want about 4 if them and maybe interested in the fenn traps too. I'll do a stock check and figure out what I've got to offer but it's mostly cutting tools, knives, airguns...

Improving Ceramic pocket stones - Fallkniven CC4 & Spyderco

I've got both the spyderco double stuff and the older ceramic but lumpy dc4 stones. I fixed my otherwise completely unusable dc4 with a pound shop diamond plate and it's like glass now, been excellent ever since. And I've never had an issue with the double stuff, perfectly flat and smooth,mines...
