this was where we were running on Sunday, near the North Esk Reservoir... the Pentlands are a great place, we were running here for 2 hours before we met anyone..
Has already drawn admiring looks and questions from work colleagues at my desk (and some concern as its an oncology unit)...
I should add I get parcels sent to work. I didn't take it in..
Not MI's, but I can thinks of several of my patients who don't stop activities due to their condition (mainly cancers) with appropriate allowances or account made for physical limitations. If anything, they seem to have a keener appreciation of the activity...
I'd bought a wave and use it a fair bit. I found it useful to do some tasks like putting up shelves, sorting the chicken coop or whatever using only the wave, helped me to get the hang of it.
I have one i bought in York some time back, very happy with it, I used a summer sleeping bag with it for a while but now use a snugpack blanket if required.
I guess you could set it up at home, trim a pole to size then make a note of the ideal length required. you could take a bit of string the right length to use as a measure or measure the stick against yourself i.e. chin high or whatever, to cut the branch in the woods.
